Abstract

In Vietnam, the underground economy often exists and develops due to various reasons. In addition to its contribution to economic development, the underground economy also has adverse effects on social and economic life, and it can even endanger the safety and lives of those involved. In order to prevent and handle activities that oppose social security and safety, criminal law has long been an effective tool in the hands of the State. Therefore, it can be considered that criminal law and the underground economy are closely related. In order to clearly determine the impact and influence of criminal law on the underground economy, this article investigates this issue and proposes some recommendations for the effective management of the underground economy in Vietnam.
